Make no bones about it, we are an independent label. This of course means the behemoths Best Buy and Walmart will never stock our albums. As cool as it would be to say go get our records at any Best Buy location its just not going to happen. However in our greater region we have a list of new stores that will be carrying our releases on a regular basis. Stay tuned for the whole list in the coming weeks. At the moment, get our discs at Cheapo locations in the Twin Cities, Deaf Ear Records in LaCrosse, WI and of course at live shows and through the website. Thanks for your continued support as the label continues to grow even in the 25 year mark!

Its a label affair with Two eyes of course headlining in support of their album “Bull Rush”; These Worlds Collide, Killwire and Hawthorn Guild are all there to support the effort. Chris Malone Aka Pornocreep 13 is finishing up the follow to 2008′s “Mugged, Cussed and Bitten”, poignantly entitled “Heretic Red”. PC13 has posted some teaser videos of the new tunes on facebook which will soon be posted here as well. The live show is in the works and will begin booking in early 2012. This brings the new release count for 2012 to ridiculous. This year SO FAR: We are legion, These Worlds Collide, Pornocreep, Grande Machine, Hawthorn Guild and starting it all January 7th: Two eyes for the Dead “Bull Rush”. Pay attention music fans, this year will rock!

This weekend those debaucherous rockanauts Grande Machine laid the foundation for their 2012 return to Zerobudget yet untitled second full length. This new album will have the same vibe as their debut album, as the majority of the tracking was done live. More as it becomes available. Looks like 2012 is going to be a huge release year for Zerobudget!

Two Eyes for the Dead Cd Release!

For immediate release: Twin Cities based alternative/rock quartet Two Eyes for the Dead Announce the release of “Bull Rush”; the band’s second full length and debut with independent record label Zerobudget Records.

The “Bull Rush” sessions began last November at 14:59 studios in Minneapolis and took a solid 6 months to complete. At the helm was veteran producer and We are Legion guitarist Will Maravelas. Two Eyes since that time have been hunting for new bass player in addition to making final preparations for the album.

Bull Rush will finally hit shelves January 10th with a special Cd release event to be held Saturday January 7th at Twin Cities famed Hexagon. Rogue Citizen, who did the artwork for “Bull Rush”, will also be location at the show doing a live paint. Label-mates Hawthorn Guild, These Worlds Collide and Killwire have all been confirmed for the CD release show, an eclectic lineup certainly, but one that shows the scene supports its bands.

Pick up your copy of “Bull Rush” at the show or by pre order. Zerobudget is proud to have its first release of 2012 be a shining example of modern day rock. Two Eyes for the Dead “Bull Rush”!

Grande Machine schedule recording time!

Recording for the second full length yet untitled Grande Machine record is set for mid November. Its been a long ride with these guys and we couldn’t be happier to have them at ZBR.

Looks like 2012 is going to be a big release year for Zerobudget: Hawthorn Guild (first new material in 5 years), Grande Machine’s new record, We are Legion’s second full length, These World’s Collide debut album…sheesh it shall be fun.

Hawthorn Guild, one of the original 4 Zerobudget resurgence bands in 2006 (HG, Orwell, And Hope to Die, Buried Face Down), have come back home to Zerobudget after a 5 year hiatus.

The Zerobudget 25th Anniversary showcase held in September of this year, turned out to be HG’s first live show in that time. The band was approached by the label to write a new song for the 25th anniversary compilation project and the band agreed. Rehearsals followed and the band decided to pick up where it left off all those years ago.

The band is in the pre-production phase for a 2012 yet untitled spring release. In the meantime, Zerobudget has decided to press a limited edition re-release of Rebuilding Paradise (the bands 2005 debut full length album) which was produced by Grammy winner Mike Von Muchow. Pick up your copy today!

Hex Showcase

Thanks for all who attended the Hexagon Doom vs Death II Showcase here in Minneapolis. Australis killed it, Lesser Known Saint crushed and We are Legion had ample shenanigans. Prypiat, the special guests on the show, featuring ex we are legion members really did a great job and were extremly original. Lots of drinks were flowing, free music being given away and a real rock atmosphere. Next show soon! November calendar to be posted in the next few days.Cheers!
